Starting your diving career is a big step, and we know it can be daunting. Becoming a PADI Divemaster is the first step to becoming a scuba diving professional.

The PADI Divemaster Course is a professional dive education, and you must be prepared to take it seriously. However, we aim to make the course as enjoyable as it can be.

The PADI Divemaster Course can be taken in 14 days or if you wish to make it at your own peace, longer.

In order to participate in the PADI Divemaster Course, you must be at least 18 years old. Each participant must be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and a PADI Rescue Diver. The Emergency First Response Course, Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and first aid) has to be completed within the past 24 months. You need to have at least 40 logged dives to begin the course and 60 logged dives for certification. The last requirement is that you must be fit and submit a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.

What will the PADI Divemaster Course teach you?

This course will teach you how to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, water skills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you will develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities.

• The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster.
• Supervising dive activities and assisting with student divers.
• Diver safety and risk management.
• Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills.
• Business of diving and your career.
• Awareness of the dive environment.
• Dive setup and management.
• Mapping an open water dive site.
• Conducting dive briefings.
• Organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive.
• Conducting a ReActivate and skin diver course.
• Assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and leading Discover Local Diving programs.
