Do you think that you have seen everything there is to see at a dive site? Try checking them out at night. You are going to find that dive sites don’t really show you everything they have until you explore them when the sun goes down. With the PADI Night Diver Course, you will learn the proper techniques and procedures to conduct a night dive in a safe way.

In order to enroll to the PADI Night Diver Course, you need to be a certified open water diver and have reached the age of 12 years.

The duration of this course is 2 days and consist of 2 parts: the knowledge development and 2 open water dives at night.

It is preferable to have your own primary flashlight and a back-up light when you start this course. But if you don’t have, you can always rent at our diving center.

So what will you learn during this course? Well easy, first of all you will learn how to plan and organize a night dive. Your instructor will give you an overview of the procedures and techniques of night diving in order to conduct your night dives safely. You will learn the drills to handle any light failure in a confident way and without stressing out. Another topic of the course are the procedures for buoyancy control and navigation while night diving. You will learn how to use your light and the various buddy systems techniques, such as communicating at night underwater. Disorientation and emergency techniques are also an important part of the course.

Since many of the plants and animals you will see are different, you will also get an introduction to nocturnal aquatic life.

During your night dives you will execute a descent using a line  or sloping bottom as a reference, you will demonstrate how to communicate with hand signals and dive lights while night diving. You will practice entering and surfacing the water before and after a night dive.
